"The Power of Peace" is the theme of the 2009-10 Peace Poster Contest. Lions clubs can sponsor this annual program in their communities for children in local schools or organized, sponsored youth groups.

Students who are ages 11, 12 or 13 by November 15 are eligible to participate each year. Through the contest, students are encouraged to visually depict their interpretation of the contest’s theme.

The contest must be sponsored by a Lions club, and a kit must be purchased for each contest that is sponsored. Lions clubs may purchase a contest kit through the Club Supplies Sales Department.

Each district in the state will select a district winner whose poster will then compete at the state level.  One winner from the state of Kansas will be selected to compete in the International contest.
